Pauline Jaricot's extraordinary life on film

A short film inspired by the extraordinary life of Pauline Jaricot is in the final stages of production and will soon make its much-awaited premiere.

We invite you to join us as we take a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this incredible story.

Be inspired by the evocative narrative of spirituality and service as we discover Pauline’s life and legacy from the perspective of Claire, a young French woman living in contemporary France as she embarks on her own journey in the footsteps of Pauline Jaricot.

In film, we first learn of Claire’s own life as 20-year-old French woman from Lyon, as she visits friends, studies at the university, and listens to music, with a curiosity of the world around her.

By chance, Claire comes across an old book, a gift from her grandmother. Browsing through it she finds an image of Pauline Jaricot with a hand-written message: “Claire, live like her, live like a dove.”

Claire is instantly stuck by the words as they resonate within the context of her own life. Learning more about Pauline Jaricot’s own life in Lyon, Claire starts her journey of discovery and immersion, as she reflects on Pauline’s commitment to mission and evangelization of the Church.

200 Years of Mission

2022 also marks the 200th anniversary of the Foundation for the Society of the Propagation of the Faith, which in Australia is known as Catholic Mission, and still today a worldwide network of lay missionaries and church leaders are working together with communities most in need.
